  CHILDCARE TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION

Crawford Street PlaySchool is looking for experienced Childcare Teachers
to help preschool aged children develop social, emotional, physical,
spiritual, and educational skills through play, experimentation, and
problem-solving at our school. This individual will teach and supervise
children while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and
exercise their imagination.

Responsibilities:

        * Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable
teaching material

        * Balance teaching between logical and social exercises

        * Provide basic care and caregiving activities

        * Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or
outdoor games, drawing etc.) to enhance the child’s abilities

        * Evaluate children’s performance to make sure they are on the right
learning track

        * Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the
progress of their children using the Brightwheel app

        * Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action

        * Collaborate with other colleagues and staff at CSPS
         * Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as
established by the MS State Department of Health

Skills:

        * Proven experience as a childcare / daycare teacher

        *   Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education
methods

        *   Methodical and creative

        * Patience, flexibility, dependable and love for children

        * Strong communication and time management skills

        * Certificate in First Aid and CPR
         * Degree in early childhood education preferred but not required

  CHILDCARE ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

Crawford Street PlaySchool is looking for qualified Teacher
Assistants/Floaters for our school to help prepare small children by
easing them into organized education, learning to play together and
share. Assistants will help teach children important elements that they
will encounter soon after they enter school life.

Responsibilities:

        * Assist the teacher in developing a careful and creative program
suitable for preschool children

        * Be comfortable using a variety of educational techniques
(storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children

        * Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and
build self-esteem

        * Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional
arguments

        * Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they
are safe at all times

        * Collaborate with other colleagues and staff at CSPS
         * Help the lead teacher maintain a clean and tidy classroom
consistent with health and safety standards
         *
         * Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established
by the MS State Department of Health

Skills:

        *  Proven experience working with preschool aged children

        * Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

        * Strong communication and instructional skills

        * Ability to act as mediator between children

        * Patience, flexibility, dependable and love for children
